Is Gigsup really free for students?
Yes. The Seed is free forever: the full VISI assessment, résumé and LinkedIn import, your voice journal and career wallet, your top 5 matches with the why, the Diamond on your top 2 fits, and up to 3 saved careers. Paid plans add unlimited matches and saved careers, admission and education plans, mentors, jobs and the interview simulator, and school pilots put whole grades on the full product.
What is VISI?
VISI is our assessment of your values, interests, strengths and identity. It is not a five-question quiz that hands you one job title. It builds a living profile that every match is scored against, and it updates as you grow, so your matches change when you do.
What are the Love Matrix and the Aptitude Lab?
The Love Matrix is a fast, swipe-based read on what you actually enjoy versus what you are merely good at. The Aptitude Lab measures skills directly with short games instead of asking you to rate yourself. Together with VISI they are the Assess step of Discover, and all three feed the same wallet.
How does matching actually work?
Every career match shows you the elements it was matched on: which of your values, interests and measured skills lined up, both sides scored, with the source named. Identity never raises or lowers your fit score; it only shapes how matches are framed for you. No black box, no horoscope.
What is the career wallet?
It is your record: grades, verified work hours, projects, certificates, aptitude results and reflections, collected as evidence while you live it. A résumé is a page you rewrite under pressure; the wallet writes itself and every match can cite it.
What if I have no idea what I want to do?
Perfect, that is exactly who this is built for. You do not need a goal to start; you need ten minutes for VISI and a few swipes. Low clarity widens your exploration instead of faking precision, and Gigi walks with you from there.
What does Gigi do?
Gigi is your career coach for life, working only from your own record. Gigi explains matches, drafts plans and applications for you to edit, nudges you on deadlines, and never talks to anyone else about you.
Who can see my journal?
Nobody, unless you say so. Your own words are never shown to schools, employers or parents without your explicit say-so. Counselors see readiness artifacts because your school enrolled you; parents see progress and milestones, never your private writing.
Can it help me get into a program?
Yes. Pin a career and the Achieve column builds the plan: which courses feed it, how your plan scores against real entering averages, which scholarships you qualify for, and who to talk to. The application tracker and interview simulator carry you the rest of the way.
What happens to my record when I graduate?
It stays yours. The record belongs to you, not your school's licence. Export it, take it to university, to your first job, to a career change at 30.
Can I delete my account?
One click, and it actually deletes. Leave, and your record leaves with you.
